This site is intended to be a resource for Alaskans and policy makers as they consider Alaska’s fiscal futures.

It focuses on how local governments are impacted by State budget decisions, how Constitutional or other priorities are impacted similarly, and of the choices ahead, what some considerations are.  Each “bucket” covers lots of different topics – as you scroll through, you’ll see a site map appear in case you want to revisit a topic.  Throughout, you’ll see narrative about the topic alongside a chart or graphic that depicts trends or data that are important.  You can click on a graph to see it more clearly.  Nothing here reflects an official position of the Alaska Municipal League, but responds to a board directive to try to help inform the conversation and demonstrate impacts.  This will be a work in progress, and updates expected as corrections are needed or new information comes in.
